  • Green Key Eco-Rating Program
    • To be certified by the Canada Green Key Eco-Rating Program, a property must complete an audit consisting of five sections: Corporate Environmental Management, Housekeeping; Food and Beverage Operations, Conference and Meeting Facilities and Engineering. There are over 140 multiple choice questions throughout these sections regarding the following areas: Energy conservation, Water conservation, Solid waste management, Hazardous waste management, Indoor air quality, Community outreach, Building infrastructure, Land use, and Environmental management.  The on-line audit then automatically generates a rating for the property.  To remain certified a property must reapply to the program on an annual basis.  There are 5 levels of certification, these certifications are designated by numbers of keys ranging from one to five.
